Project Engineer


The Construction Project Engineer directly assists and supports the  Project Manager, on-site, for this two-year riverfront project.  The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

This is a rare and unique opportunity for an entry-level candidate who has the character to learn, thrive, and develop career-essential skills under our direct tutelage and alongside one of the most experienced and effective Construction Project Managers; one who is gifted at developing young professionals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Write effective scopes of work for bid packages
  • Setup initial contracts and project information 
  • Assist in management of project permit process
  • Assist in review of bid packages and procurement
  • Perform a preliminary review of the construction schedule and updates
  • Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders
  • Inspect and track material deliveries
  • Receive, review, forward, and track status of submittals 
  • Review, track and distribute RFIs
  • Continually promote organizational change initiatives, suggest new ideas, and adapt to work within new structures and processes
  • Continually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating value
  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Invictus

We’re Looking For: 

  • Strength of Character
  • Entry-level to 1 year of industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Prolog, Procore, or similar construction management software 
  • Knowledge of Suretrak or Primavera
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Good time management skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications
