Mr. Bermudez is a construction professional with over 35 years of experience in a variety of capacities. A former U.S. Army officer in the Field Artillery with a Ranger Tab and Parachutist Badge, he has broad-based management expertise having acquired experience in both public and private organizations including engineering firms, construction consulting firms, and with an at-risk builder/contractor. His professional engagements include project management positions in design and construction. As director of construction services for a general contractor, with a cadre of superintendents and field personnel, he was fully responsible for P&L performance, risk assessment, and oversight of several concurrent construction, design-build, and construction management projects. He advises owners, contractors, and attorneys on variety of public and private sector projects. He has worked in partnership with clients in the U.S., Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Puerto Rico.
He holds a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and Connecticut. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers & the Society of American Military Engineers.
William A. Prettitore, PE
Principal
Mr. Prettitore has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. His project experience is acquired throughout the United States and internationally, and includes assignments related to railroad, power generation, education, aviation, highway, commercial, residential, water treatment and hospitality sectors. He has a background of successful achievements which spans public and private organizations, an owner, a constructor, an engineer, a utility, and several consultants. His expertise includes contract analysis and administration, project management, scheduling, procurement, budgets, training, risk management, claims avoidance, dispute resolution and project controls.
Bill has been responsible for successful delivery of construction projects and consulting services, and has supervised project executives in the procurement, planning, and control of design and construction programs. During his tenure at the NYC School Construction Authority, Mr. Prettitore rose to the position of Deputy Director (“Chief”) overseeing a $2B school program in three boroughs. He then became a Principal at one of the nation’s premiere consulting firms, and he subsequently held an executive position at the oldest minority-owned constructor in the U.S.
Bill has authored many technical standards and expert reports. He also has extensive experience rending expert testimony for construction-related legal proceedings. He has also presented numerous educational and training seminars. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from New York University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York.
Principal
Mr. Lauria is an architect with over 30 years of experience in managing high-quality projects for higher education, biomedical research, health science, infrastructure, and public facilities. Steve directs multidisciplinary teams of architects and engineers in preparation of a range of planning and architectural services for federal and local governments, higher education institutions and corporations. He has performed site and facility audits and analyses, multidisciplinary conceptual and final cost analyses on large-scale planning and small facilities projects, preparation of schedules, budgets, development of programs of requirements, code analyses, constructability reviews, third party construction inspection, value engineering, and design through post occupancy commissioning.
His breadth of experience with diverse facility types through all phases of design and construction lends credence to the conceptual cost analyses process. His knowledge of historical data, and of project types assures application of the most appropriate resources for each project and results in realistic parametric estimates and life-cycle cost analysis prepared. He has also coordinated and participated in effective community planning associated with several projects; coordinating town hall meetings, soliciting stakeholder participation and input and ensuring follow through on goals.
Steve holds B.S. degrees in Architecture from North Carolina State University. He is also a licensed in the State of Maryland.
Corey H. Bedford
Associate / Senior Project Manager
Mr. Bedford is a seasoned construction professional with over 32 years of experience in a variety of capacities. He started his career in Architecture, and for the first 11 years he was engaged in overseeing a design team and managing construction projects from concept to completion. For the past 21 years, and having developed broad-based construction management experience, his career path evolved primarily in the areas of Project Management and Owner’s Representation. He is particularly skilled at managing the design process from a field-construction perspective and, critically, running multiple projects concurrently. For the construction phase of projects, he is well-versed in proven project controls techniques and current software packages. Collectively, these skills allow him support clients effectively to help deliver construction project on time, on budget, and with the expected level of quality work. Moreover, he is highly adept at identifying and mentoring talent for construction oversight and inspection assignments for Invictus.

Rebecca P. Bermudez, Lt. Col., USAF Retired
Financial Officer / Administrator
Rebecca, a retired Air Force officer and pilot, manages all financial matters and also oversees the firm's administrative and financial operations. She also has a key role in retaining talent. During her 27 years of service to the nation, she worked in several mission-critical capacities including an assignment with an Air Force Civil Engineering Unit where she managed military personnel who maintained the air base infrastructure and its facilities. As an instructor pilot she supervised and trained student-pilots. She also held various other leadership positions in technical roles.
Rebecca holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
